IMMIGRATION TOTEM
Immigration is a deeply personal theme for me, resonating from my family's history. After World War II devastated Italy, my parents immigrated to Venezuela in search of a fresh start. Later in life, I, too, had to leave my homeland to begin anew in a foreign place. "Totem" stands as a tribute to those who have faced the challenge of constructing a new life, navigating unfamiliar cultures, and reinventing themselves. It is an artistic ode to the remarkable resilience inherent in the human spirit—an homage to the indomitable strength that allows individuals to endure and flourish despite the complexities of immigration.
